1. What Is an Energy Audit?
An Energy Audit is a detailed inspection, survey, and analysis of energy flows within the campus buildings—designed to identify efficiency opportunities, reduce energy usage, and optimize comfort for occupants without compromising functionality.
2. NAAC Context (Criterion 7.1.6)
According to NAAC guidelines, institutions must regularly conduct the following audits:
- Green audit
- Energy audit
- Environment audit
- Clean & green campus initiatives
- Beyond-campus environmental promotion
Your institution should upload certified audit reports and evidence of awards or promotional activities.
3. Components of Our Energy Audit
- Level I Audit (Walk‑through):
Quick site visits and initial data gathering to outline energy use patterns. - Level II Audit (General/Detailed):
Comprehensive review of energy bills, equipment usage, HVAC systems, lighting; prioritizes energy conservation measures (ECMs). - Pollution & Emissions Assessment:
Evaluates carbon footprint and other emissions, tying into environmental sustainability metrics.
